In February 2012, I will be hosting my annual Student Leadership Institute (SLI) for the final time. The 24th Annual SLI will be held in Las Cruces and Roswell.  The SLI is a half-day conference for high school juniors and seniors to come together to discuss important policy issues that face our country and state. It is my hope that the SLI will increase students' awareness of public policy and encourage their involvement in its development.

Seminars

Eastern New Mexico University - Roswell

Each student who participates in the SLI will attend three of six policy seminars that are led by members of my legislative staff.  These seminars focus on many of the major issues that we address in Congress like health, economic development, and national security.
