I have never used e-newsletters before. What are they?

An e-newsletter is an electronic version of a printed newsletter sent to a group of e-mail addresses. I am offering both a general interest monthly e-newsletter along with periodic updates related to issues, like health care or education.

To receive these e-newsletters, you must first "subscribe" to the e-newsletter(s) you're interested in. When you subscribe, you add your profile and e-mail address to the list of recipients for that mailing, so that you can receive messages sent on that topic from my office.

If you later decide you no longer want to be on the e-newsletter distribution list, you can "unsubscribe" from the list(s) you are on. When you unsubscribe, your email will be removed from the list of recipients for that mailing, and you will no longer receive messages from the list.

What is the purpose of Senator Bingaman's e-newsletters?

A top priority in my office is to keep my constituents informed of my activities on their behalf. These e-newsletters allow me to help meet that commitment. When you subscribe to one or more of these lists, you'll receive periodic e-mail messages from my office with legislative updates on the topics you've selected. These updates will include information on recent Senate floor action in that area, news releases we have distributed pertaining to the topic, and other such information You may unsubscribe at any time.

Each of these e-newsletters is considered a "one-way" mailing. When you subscribe, you'll receive e-mails from my office, but you won't be able to send message to other subscribers.
