Tuesday, January 11, 2011

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman today announced that Santo Domingo Pueblo has been awarded a $450,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Housing's Indian Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG) program, which helps meet the housing needs of low-income tribal communities.

"This funding will help Santo Domingo meet the housing needs of community members," Bingaman said.

The ICDBG program aims to help with the development of viable Native American communities, including decent housing, a suitable living environment, and economic opportunities.
