Katie is majoring in Public Policy at Duke University.

``I am extremely excited to be working on the Energy Committee with Senator Bingaman, and to have the experience of living in D.C. for the summer. I am sure that the people I meet and the experiences I have will stay with me forever."

``I am looking forward to having the experience of working in an office that isn't actively campaigning. Although some would argue that campaigning is never finished, I'm interested to find out for myself."
