Library of Congress

Founded by Thomas Jefferson almost 200 years ago, the Library of Congress is the largest collection of knowledge in the world. Today, it serves as a resource for thousands of Americans every day.

Tour Information

The Library of Congress offers one-hour congresional tours Monday through Friday at either 8:30 am or 2:00 pm. Following the tour, you are welcome to explore the Thomas Jefferson Building and exhibitions without a guide.  Please contact my office at (202) 224-5521 to request a tour.

The Library also offers one-hour unreserved public tours Monday through Saturday at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 (the 3:30 tour isn't offered on Saturdays). For more information, visit www.loc.gov or call the Library's information line at (202) 707-8000.
