Weekly Update: Addressing Offshoring Energy Jobs Print Share
U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman discusses legislation that addresses financing challenges companies face when establishing "onshore"—U.S. based—clean energy manufacturing facilities in this week's update. Bingaman is optimistic that the measure, which would end tax breaks that rewards companies that send energy jobs abroad, can be brought to the floor and passed later this year. Bingaman also discusses the continuing resolution the Senate passed, which ensures federal government funding is maintained at current levels until the Senate meets again after the November elections.
