Weekly Update: Finance Committee Hearing, Recess Expectations Print Share
U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman discusses this week's Senate Finance Committee hearing on the affordability of Medicare and Medicaid. During the hearing, Bingaman questioned the implementation of new requirements on hospitals to publicly report data on how well they're performing and information on hospital-acquired conditions; both provisions were included within the recent health insurance reform law. Bingaman also outlines his expectations for the rest of the lame duck session.
