Weekly Update: Energy Committee Hearings Print Share
U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman details two Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee (ENR) hearings he chaired this week in this podcast. The first ENR hearing, held on Tuesday, was in fact a briefing from government, nonprofit, and nuclear industry experts, updating the committee on the crisis at Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear reactor complex. Thursday, Bingaman chaired a hearing on potential hydroelectricity opportunities in the U.S. Congress continues to negotiate a FY11 federal budget; Bingaman is hoping that a final agreement will be reached soon.
