U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman highlights some of this week's Senate activities in this update. Bingaman discusses tax cuts—sometimes referred to as the "Bush tax cuts"—that the Senate is currently working toward consideration. Bingaman is still studying the president's proposal. Bingaman also talks about the Claims Settlement Act, which settles long-running water disputes and was signed into law earlier this week.
